Cornwall

This blog is rapidly turning from a story of life at the cutting edge of photography into a weather report.

None the less I can only place on record my admiration for Morwenna, a Cornish model, who risked severe hypothermia last week to get some fabulous images.

We were shooting around the St Austell area and intended to get some beach/woodland images. Some hope. It rained, blew and hailed and absolutely trashed any hopes of getting the images we'd planned.

Undeterred we found a wonderful old warehouse building and used that as our studio. It wasn't the warmest venue I've ever used but at least the roof was largely intact and kept the rain off!

From there it was away to the local supermarket for a coffee to warm up and finish off with a shoot in an underpass! It really is glamorous this artistic life.

Despite all these drawbacks we got some fab shots. Thank you Morwenna and I look forward to working again with you, but next summer, when it's hot and hopefully dry.

After a few days down in Cornwall it's back to work tomorrow and looking forward to spending the day with Brian, Emee Lou and Natalie. Brian and Emee Lou are a husband and wife photography team from Edinburgh who are starting out on their journey as professional image makers. They are coming down for one of our intensive training days to cover all aspects of their business and photography. That's where the beautiful Natalie comes in as she will be our model in the afternoon.

Looking forward to seeing you all and just for once, let it be a dry day for shooting, please!
