A few beautiful people

One of the many bonuses to my work is the number of beautiful people I get to meet and work with.

Recently we've run a number of courses for fellow photographers. They've learnt loads, I love imparting knowledge and we've had some fabulous models working with us.

If anybody you knows loves their photography, whether as a professional or amateur, then book them a place on one of our many courses.

We can guarantee that we will make a difference to the way they see the world and their art.

Anyway with thanks to Natalie, Viv, Zoe and Melissa here are a few recent images. If you'd like to work with them then give us a call.

Call the studio today for more details of all our up coming workshops, studio support programme and one to one sessions.

If you're a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers then check out this months magazine for my article and I look forward to meeting you at one of my masterclasses at the 2010 Convention.

Love across the Pond!

To York yesterday for the wedding of Janne and Ed. Well not really the wedding but the blessing as their actual marriage occurred in the USA last week and this was a chance for the UK side of the family to view proceedings.

Having said that it was testament to the joy and goodwill that surrounds this beautiful couple that so many of their USA friends and family came with them too. A great celebration of love in the Yorkshire sunshine and finished off in grand style with a party at the Royal York.

A few pictures from the day and thanks to Janne and Ed for allowing me to be part of their celebration, and all their wonderful family and friends for welcoming me into it.

Training

Training is a huge part of my life. I strongly believe that any photographer in the world has to continually push themselves to develop. As an artist, as a business person and as a human being.

That's why last week was spent in London in the company of the only photographer in the world I have had a desire to learn from. Jerry Ghionis is the best of the best at this moment in time. I love his work, I love his philosophy and, having worked and relaxed in his company, love the guy too.

We had a fantastic time shooting beautiful images just before the yellow coated mafia of London blocked our efforts!

However I got straight home and straight into training my own students.

Joined on Monday by a beautiful group of people who wanted the best advice on lighting and finding light. Thanks to them all, and to our beautiful models Vivienne and Rachelle. As you can see they were determined to enjoy their time with us!

On Tuesday it was a different group of wonderful people who wished to study the techniques applicable to the Contemporary Bride. Thanks to them, to Zoe our beautiful model, to Andrea Bambridge for the Wedding Gowns and to Colin at Bardney Hall for being just a superb host.

Fun in the sun

What a wonderful day yesterday. It was sunny, hot, steamy, everything you don't want it to be really when you're dressed in tail coat, waistcoat, shirt and cravatte! So I take my metaphorical hat off to our groom Dave yesterday who kept the whole lot on all day, looked immaculate and was a joy to be around. Together with his bride Helena they make a fabulous couple and it really was a pleasure to share their wedding day.

Thanks to Chris and the team at Cave Castle who made everything run smoothly and kept us fed and watered all day.

Here is a selection of images from the day, many more to follow.
